Therapy Options

Individual Therapy

For adults and teens ages 14 and up who are interested in exploring past chapters of their life, current difficulties, and mood concerns. Typically folks sign up for individual therapy when they or someone they love, notices behavior and emotional changes that are not consistent with who they are, or are causing problems in their life. Having difficulty turning off anxious thoughts, not feeling happiness for the things that you used to enjoy, and isolating yourself from others are a few reasons why clients reach out.

EMDR Treatment

I am an EMDR-Trained Clinician (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and this is the main treatment modality I use to assist clients with trauma-recovery work. It is a highly researched treatment and is commonly the first line of treatment for PTSD, trauma, and distressing life events. It is a powerful and effective tool for trauma recovery that builds resilience and facilitates lasting healing. You can read more about EMDR here. I am currently only accepting new clients who are seeking EMDR Therapy.

Teen Therapy

Lots of adults run at the idea of working with teenagers. For me, working with teens is second-nature and has been one of the greatest joys of my career. Yes, the adolescent age group is fraught with sassiness, “weird” ways of self-expression, and seemingly never-ending disagreements, but teens also bring an awesome, contagious energy, as well as loads of humor, resilience, and curiosity that I appreciate. I welcome teens ages 14 and up in my therapy practice.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a technique where a therapist leads a small group therapy session. It’s kind of like being in a small classroom - except way more entertaining and no grades are given. There are various types of group therapies taking place across our globe - support groups for the loss of a loved one, a pet, divorce recovery, and groups for chronic pain and caregivers, just to name a few. I specialize in leading groups for teens with high stress, anxiety and depression.

“People often mistake numbness for nothingness, but numbness isn't the absence of feelings; it's a response to being overwhelmed by too many feelings.”
